Big Sean appears to have taken aim at Drake, J. Cole, and Kendrick Lamar on his new freestyle.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the Detroit rapper shared a video of him spitting some new bars over a slowed version of The Pharcyde's classic "Drop" beat.
"Think where I lack most as an artist is consistency / I just haven't had the energy to compete with enemies," Sean opens, before seemingly taking shots at Drizzy, Cole, and Lamar, who are often referred to as rap music's current "Big Three."
"Or y'all so-called bigger three, huh / But every verse I lay, fans love to say, 'Man, n***** is sleep,'" he raps.
Sean will no doubt be hoping to insert himself into the "Big Three" conversation with the release of his sixth studio album later this year.
The 35-year-old unofficially announced the project last month by way of a comment he left on an Instagram post by Rap Radar's Elliot Wilson.
"Nah its time for a new album this year fasho," Sean wrote.
This week, Sean then released a short film titled "Clarity," which includes footage of him recording his new album, as well as a picture of what appears to be the project's cover art.
