Busta Rhymes drops star-studded new album "Blockbusta"

Busta Rhymes has released his star-studded 11th studio album "Blockbusta."

The album was released through Busta's own Conglomerate Entertainment label on Friday.

Bus-a-Bus himself, Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, and Swizz Beatz served as executive producers on the project, which features guest appearances from DaBaby, Burna Boy, T-Pain, Blxst, Young Thug, and more.

"Thank you, that's all," Busta said in an Instagram video posted on Friday. "I just wanted to thank the whole earth. 'Blockbusta' out now."

"Thank you everybody," he added. "Biggest moment, biggest album."

Busta first announced "Blockbusta" on October 23.

In an Instagram video featuring Pharrell, Timbaland, and Swizz Beatz, Busta said: "We here for this Busta Rhymes 10th solo album."

Swizz said: "This project right here is executive produced by the fucking committee."

Timbaland said: “I’m so grateful that you chose me to be a part of your legacy.”

The album's first single, "Beach Ball" featuring Bia, released back in June, before its second single, "Luxury Life" with Coi Leray, dropped in September.

As well as releasing "Blockbusta" on Friday, Busta also released the visuals for "Big Everything," the album's seventh track which features both T-Pain and DaBaby.

Earlier this year, Busta was handed the lifetime achievement award at the 2023 BET Awards.

The "Break Ya Neck" rapper, 51, posed an emotional figure as he collected the award.

"I do want to cry," Busta said as he dabbed his eyes with a towel.

"A lot of greatness from our people and our culture is by default ‘cause it’s just the magic that we have," he added. "I just am grateful for the blessing that has been bestowed upon me and this gift that I have been given, and this fire that continues to burn as a passion in my soul."

On the night, Busta, alongside Spliff Star, also performed a medley of his biggest hits, including

“Gimme Some More," "Touch It," and "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See."
