Doja Cat's "Paint the Town Red" was officially Spotify's most-streamed rap song of 2023.

According to Chart Data, the song racked up over 730 million streams.

Released in August, "Paint the Town Red" peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

It also topped the charts in 18 other countries, including Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom, where it became the first ever solo song by a female rapper to top the UK Singles Chart.

"Paint the Town Red" notably contains a sample of Dionne Warwick's legendary 1984 song "Walk On By."

In December, Warwick made an appearance on "The Kelly Clarkson Show," where she revealed that she had no clue who Doja Cat was.

“My granddaughter called me and says, ‘Grammy, do you know you’re on a record with Doja Cat?’ I said, ‘Doja who?'” said the 83-year-old singer.

Warwick added that she was "thrilled" that "Paint the Town Red" was a major hit for Doja.

“I hope ‘Walk on By’ is as good for her as it has been for me," she told Clarkson. "They’re great songs, and finally [young people] being exposed to some good music.”
