Gunna appears to share love for Lil Baby on new single, "Bittersweet"

Gunna appears to want it known that he has nothing but love for Lil Baby.

On Thursday, the Georgia native dropped his first new single in eight months, "Bittersweet."

Gunna opens the track with a line that appears to be about his former "Drip Too Hard" collaborator, with whom he has been at odds since last year.

"Shit been rough, but I ain't too tough to say I love and I miss you / You my dawg, I don't care if we fall out, I never could diss you," he raps.

Gunna and Baby's feud began back in June following Gunna's decision to take a plea deal in the RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) case against him, Young Thug, and other members of YSL.

After Baby unfollowed Gunna on social media, Gunna appeared to take a swipe at the "Freestyle" rapper on his song, "Bread & Butter,"

"You switched on me when you know you in business with a rat," Gunna raps on the track.

The opening line of "Bittersweet," however, appears to confirm the line was not about Baby as originally believed.

Since "Bread & Butter," Baby has continued to fire lyrical shots at Gunna in his music, most recently on his 2023 track, "350," on which he labelled Gunna a "rat."

Gunna also dropped the music video for "Bittersweet" on Thursday.

In it, Gunna retreats to a snow-capped mansion in the middle of the mountains to reflect on the trials and tribulations of the past year.
