Kid Cudi may have only just dropped his new album "INSANO," but he's wasting no time getting to work on new music.
On Friday, legendary hip-hop producer The Alchemist shared a photo of him and Cudi together in the studio.
The Alchemist, who has produced tracks for the likes of Mobb Deep, Nas, and Jadakiss, captioned the post with a rocket emoji.
Cudi and Alchemist's musical peers were quick to share their excitement at the news of them working together.
"wuuuuut," commented Tog Dawg Entertainment rapper Isaiah Rashad.
House music star Diplo remarked: "genius shit."
Fans were excited too by the news too, of course.
"Man! Must be some incredible music being made in that environment," wrote one fan. Another commented: "I can’t wait to humm over some Alchemist beats. Man, Al. Thank you."
Cudi released "INSANO," his ninth studio album, on Friday.
The project features guest appearances from Travis Scott, ASAP Rocky, and Young Thug, among others.
Speaking with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe in an interview published Thursday, the "Man on the Moon" rapper revealed how watching Kendrick Lamar perform live helped inspire the album.
"I was in Paris, I just finished my European run of tour and I go to see Kendrick. And this muthafucka, it blew my fucking mind," Cudi said.
“I took that inspiration, got to the studio and said, ‘Let’s fucking get to work. We need to make something with some energy,'" he added.
