Latto wishes she could get back to her old method of making music.
On Monday, the "Big Energy" rapper joined Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 to discuss her upcoming headline slot at the station's annual Birthday Bash concert in June.
During the interview, she also revealed which of her hit songs was the "easiest” to make.
"'Bitch from da Souf' was like, I was pullin’ up a beat pack from Bankroll Got It, and I heard the ‘Bitch from da Souf’ beat, and I really just started writing it in my notes," Latto said of her debut single, which was released in 2019.
“Went to the studio that night, or the next day, and cut it," she added.
Latto went on to share that she misses being able to make music so easily.
“Now, I be trying to recreate that process, because now I be overthinking everything,” she said. “I wish I could get back in that mindset where it’s like, no pressure.”
Asked what steps she would need to take to rediscover her old creative process, Latto replied: "I don't know if I'll ever be able to get back into that."
"There's so many opinions and other people involved," she said.
Latto will become the first-ever female to headline Hot 107.9's Birthday Bash when she takes to the stage on June 22.
Key Glock, Killer Mike, and Boosie Badazz will be among the other performers on the day.
