Metro Boomin has revealed his plans to one day make a throwback album featuring '90s and '00s hip-hop legends.

"It’s always been an idea and dream of mine to create a pure and authentic 90s/early 2000s album with all the OGs and some of the new artists mixed in," wrote the superstar producer on X, the platform previously known as Twitter, on Sunday.

In the replies, fans threw suggestions at Metro, some of which he responded positively to.

"A 2000’s album with T-Pain, Akon, Jeezy, Gucci, TI, Kanye, Wayne, 50 Cent, Eminem, Jay, then you get Cole, 21, Nudy, Travis, JID, and Future on there," commented one fan under Metro's post.

Metro replied with a gif of a man taking notes.

Another fan commented: “Rocky & Killa Cam over a Metro sample chop."

Metro replied: “This always been an idea of mine anyway so you might as well count it.”

Earlier this month, Metro also revealed on X that he plans to release multiple albums in 2024.

Replying to fan who asked him how many projects he'd be dropping this year, Metro wrote: “3 at the very least."

Metro's most recent album, "Heroes & Villains," which was released in December 2022, was streamed over 3.3 billion times on Spotify during 2023, making it the platform's most-streamed rap album of the year.

The album has been nominated for the best rap album award at the 2024 Grammys.
