Paul Stephan takes it back to the old school on infectious new single, "Talk My What"

British rapper Paul Stephan takes it back to the old school on his infectious new single, "Talk My What."

Featuring fellow rapper Wilfred, who also served as the song's producer, Stephan dropped the track on Friday.

"They can't handful the fact I'm blessed / Guaranteed prof' every time I step / Real Shabba man make the gally go wet / Let me talk my what, let me talk my what," the London-born emcee raps on the hook.

With its soulful, pitched-up sample, "Talk My What" evokes memories of some of grime music's most iconic-ever beats, including Flukes’ "Wifey Riddim" and Ruff Sqwad's "Together."

Combined with Stephan's razor-sharp delivery and clever wordplay, the track, which is Stephan's first release of 2024, is one of the most unique to emerge from the UK grime scene in recent memory.
