Schoolboy Q's sixth studio album "Blue Lips" has arrived

Schoolboy Q's eagerly anticipated sixth studio album "Blue Lips" is finally here.


The album, Q's first since 2019's "Crash Talk," was released on Friday through Top Dawg Entertainment and Interscope Records.


The 18-track project features guest appearances from Freddie Gibbs, Ab-Soul, Rico Nasty, Devin Malik, Lance Skiiiwalker, Az Chike, Jozzy, and Childish Major.


"I LOVE YALL MAN," Q wrote on X, the platform previously known as Twitter, in the early hours of Friday morning.


"THANK YOU," he added. "BLUE LIPS EVERYWHERE."



Q first announced "Blue Lips" at the start of February.


Earlier this week, the TDE rapper revealed that he was able to play the album for Jay-Z prior to its release thanks to the help of fans on social media.


Q had taken to X last week to write: "I wisH I could play tHis album for jay z."


On Monday, he then returned to X to reveal his wish had been fulfilled.


"HipHop twitter actually came tHru," Q wrote. "played Hov tHe album." He also shared a photo of him and Jay on Instagram.
