South African rap sensation Nasty C has teamed up with R&B starlet Maeta for a stunning remix of his 2023 song, "See Me Now."
Originally featured on Nasty's fourth studio album "I Love It Here," which dropped back in September, the remix was released on Friday as part of a two-single pack, "Ivyson Pack."
The remix is the first-ever collaboration between Nasty and Maeta, who currently holds the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Adult R&B Airplay Chart with “Through the Night."
"thank you @nasty_csa for letting me sing on this," Maeta wrote on Instagram on Friday alongside a snippet of the track, which was produced by Sammy Soso, the producer of Tyla’s Grammy Award-winning track “Water."
Nasty commented on Maeta's post: "Bodied this."
The reception to "See Me Now (Remix)" has been overwhelmingly positive.
"Maeta ate," commented one fan under the song's YouTube posting. "I can’t believe Ivyson just did a remix with her. This is huge."
Another wrote: "This song is so smooth and it touches the heart."
"Brooo doesn't only rap, or have bars. But bro can sing toooo! A whole package," commented one fan.
Born in Soweto, Johannesburg, Nasty C is one of South Africa's most prominent rap stars having scored three No. 1 albums and numerous top 10 singles in his home country.
Currently signed to Def Jam Recordings through a joint venture with Universal Music Africa, the 27-year-old has previously collaborated with the likes of Benny the Butcher ("Prosper In Peace"), A$AP Ferg ("King"), and French Montana ("Allow").
