Timbaland is a big admirer of Kanye West.

In a new interview with DJ Whoo Kid published on Tuesday, the legendary music producer described West, who now knows goes the name Ye, as a "teacher."

“I love that man,” Timbaland said. “Just following his personality and the switch ups – like for me, that’s intriguing. He’s giving you so much information that some of it might don’t dial in correct but it’s like, you know how some people will talk from interviews and it’s like, ‘You didn’t hear him say that?’ Because he’s like a prophet.”

Timbo even compared the "All Falls Down" rapper to a Greek god.

"He’s like a Zeus or one of those, Poseidon. Like a Greek god," he said. "He’s that."

Last year, Ye made a series of public anti-semitic remarks that resulted in him being dropped by a number of his business partners.

He shared a swastika on social media, claimed that he was going to go "death con 3" on Jewish people, and praised Adolf Hitler in an interview with far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.

As a result of his antisemitic tirade, companies like Adidas and Balenciaga ended their relationships with Ye, while talent agency CAA also dropped Ye as a client and film and television studio MRC axed a planned documentary about him.

Last month, Ye released his first song since the controversy, "Vultures" with Ty Dolla $ign.

On the track, Ye was once again of accused of being antisemitic.

"How I'm antisemitic? I just fucked a Jewish bitch," he rapped on the song's second verse.

Richard Hirschhaut, spokesperson for the American Jewish Committee, called Ye's lyrics "pathetic and sad" and said West's attempts to “fuel the flames of antisemitism and promote such bile to his millions of followers, especially at this fraught and dangerous time for the Jewish community, is unforgivable.”
