Wu-Tang Clan affiliate La The Darkman says he has new music coming with both RZA and Raekwon

La the Darkman is getting ready the roll back the years.


In an interview with AllHipHop published on Sunday, the Wu-Tang Clan affiliate revealed that he's got new music with both RZA and Raekwon on the way.


"I got like five new songs with RZA, three or four with Raekwon," the 44-year-old rapper told the publication.


La said he's also got new songs produced by fellow Wu-Tang affiliates 4th Disciple and True Master coming soon.


"We got a lot of new music that’s about to come out," he revealed, adding: "I got something coming with all the Wu-Tang producers. I’m gearing up to put the flag back out there."



As well as gearing up to release new music, La is also celebrating the 25th anniversary of his classic debut album "Heist of the Century."


Released in late 1998, the project includes guest appearances from both RZA and Raekwon, as well as Ghostface Killah and Havoc of Mobb Deep.


The mark its 25th birthday, the album has been remastered and reissued in the form of a limited edition double LP.


Only 2000 copies are up for the grabs.


Reflecting on the making of the project, which was released when La was still a teenager, with AllHipHop, La explained the meaning of its iconic title.


"It was kind of aimed toward the music industry, most of the title," La said. "It was the heist of the century; I was pulling it off at such a young age that I was able to secure a certain contract and then also just do a good album."


He added: "So it seemed like a heist all the way across the board."
