Your Old Droog isn't a fan of older rappers getting embroiled in rap beef.
"Rap beef is for 20 year olds and teens," the Brooklyn emcee wrote in a post on X, the platform previously known as Twitter, on Tuesday.
"Don’t want to hear no 30 and 40 year olds making threats," he added. "pick up a flute."
Though Droog named no names, it was likely he was referring to the ongoing beef between Kendrick Lamar, Drake, and J. Cole, as well as André 3000, who last year released a surprise jazz-flute album.
Lamar shook the rap world last week by taking aim at both Drizzy and J. Cole on Future and Metro Boomin's new song, "Like That."
As well as dismissing the idea that he, Drake, and Cole are rap's current big three ("Motherfuck the big three, it's just big me"), Kendrick also threw shade at Drake's 2023 album, "For All the Dogs."
“Bum, ‘fore all your dogs gettin’ buried / That’s a K with all these nines, he gon’ see Pet Sematary," he raps.
Though neither Drake or Cole have responded to Kendrick's disses on wax, the 6 God appeared to hit back at his "Poetic Justice" collaborator with a defiant speech during a performance in Sunrise, Florida on Sunday.
Addressing the crowd, Drake said: “A lot of people ask me how I’m feeling, I’ma let you know I’m feeling. The same way I’m feeling is the same way I want you to walk out this building tonight."
"I got my fucking head up high, my back straight, I’m 10 fucking toes down in Florida and anywhere else I go,” he added. "And I know that no matter what, there’s not a n**** on this Earth that could ever fuck with me in my life!”
