Childish Gambino has given his vote for who he thinks is the greatest rapper of all time.

“To me? Kanye,” the "Sober" singer said during a recent appearance on Complex’s "GOAT Talk."

“I know that’s controversial," he added. "But I feel like we would not have any of the rappers we have now without him. That’s just for me.”

Gambino didn't make clear why he thinks his vote for Ye is controversial, but he was likely referring to the Ye's recent history of antisemitic behavior.

Last year, Ye made a series of public antisemitic remarks, which included sharing a swastika on social media and praising Hitler in an interview with far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.

Most recently, at a listening party for his upcoming album with Ty Dolla $ign, "Vultures," he falsely claimed that Jewish people own every hospital, bank, and private school in Los Angeles.

Like Ye, Gambino also has a new album on the way.

Catching up with Gambino as he left a hotel in New York City in December, TMZ asked the superstar rapper and actor what's next for him.

"Another album," he replied.

TMZ then asked Gambino when said album would be dropping.

He responded: "Soon."

Gambino's new album will be his fifth studio album and first since 2020's "3.15.20."
